Masts/Tower Work
Masts and towers are subject to extreme weather conditions and usually monitored remotely, sometimes from thousands of kilometres away. Nordic Access offers trained and experienced personnel to perform installation or maintenance operations on masts and towers with quick mobilization options in Northern Europe.
While preventive maintenance can be comfortably scheduled for the warmest months of the year, emergency interventions may be needed year-round, regardless of temperature and wind conditions. Industrial Rope Access training allows our small teams to quickly and safely climb masts over 180m high to inspect, repair and troubleshoot, while our drones with thermal sensors allow us to inspect your entire mast/tower in a matter of minutes without the need for a technician to even leave the ground.
We are equipped to provide you near real-time feedback regarding performance and to bring your assets back into smooth operation, even in the harshest weather conditions.
Why Choose Us?
Mast/Tower maintenance operations carry potential risks that are difficult to offset and are fairly unique to the working at height industry in terms of exposure and rescue considerations.
Essentially, once you are up there, there is no shortcut back to the ground and any team working on masts needs to be highly trained and prepared to react to potentially life-threatening situations.
Operating out of the sub-arctic region of Northern Europe, our technicians are experienced, trained and equipped to handle extreme weather conditions and produce the results you need in a time frame which fits your schedules and budget.
Our Services
Component Installations
We can offer technicians with experience of installing, testing and maintaining a wide variety of electrical and monitoring components such as aviation lights, wiring, sensors, and heating elements.
Drone Inspections
Performed to your specification, we can provide a broad scale inspection of your asset and with our innovative use of thermographics we can confirm functionality of equipment heating elements without even leaving the ground. We can produce an interactive 3D model of your mast whereby you can inspect individual components and plan your operations as if you were on site yourself.
NDT
Structural integrity is of course a primary consideration for on and offshore masts. Our PCN certified NDT inspectors can provide comprehensive Inspection of critical welds at mast joints, or thickness checks of potentially corroded mast elements to determine their fitness for purpose allowing you to accurately track how your mast is holding up in the elements and creating a much more efficient maintenance schedule.
